After starting my career as an x-ray tech, I quickly found that I enjoyed both the technical and people-focused aspects of healthcare. I progressed into management, eventually becoming the director of a CT/MR department at a major medical center. I enjoyed the challenge of overseeing a team, managing equipment, and ensuring everything ran smoothly, but I knew there was more I wanted to explore. When an opportunity arose to work in sales for a leading manufacturer of radiology equipment, I took the leap. It wasn't an easy transition, but my deep understanding of the technology and ability to connect with people helped me find continued success.

While I was thriving professionally, my personal life was starting to crack under the weight of my past. I was deeply unaware of how growing up in a chaotic, trauma-filled home with an alcoholic father, and later marrying into a similar situation, was deeply affecting my mental health. The combined stress of working too hard without any self-acceptance or self-love finally caught up with me. In 2007, I reached a breaking point and suffered a mental breakdown. What I thought would be a short leave of absence from my sales role turned into a seven-year struggle to rebuild my life.

In 2012, I found the strength to leave my abusive marriage, and by 2013, my divorce was finalized. Starting over was terrifying, but it was also an opportunity to finally take control of my own path. That's when my desire to become an entrepreneur took hold. The next ten years become a journey of learning the many ups and downs of life as an entrepreneur. More importantly, it became a decade of healing, learning to love myself, and building a strong foundation for radical self-acceptance.
